the City of Passaic.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the program is to help reduce truancy, gang involvement and repeat offenses for first-time teen offenders.\u00a0 Individual counseling allows teens to privately discuss their concerns, worries and anxiety surrounding their trouble with the law.\u00a0 Collaborating with the Passaic Police Department\u2019s Station House Adjustment Program allows our staff a unique perspective in assisting the police on several topics such as Drugs and Alcohol, Gangs, Reality Check and Teamwork.\u00a0 Our teens benefit greatly from this collaboration, understanding the future consequences of their behavior from law enforcement perspective, while being able to explore the social, emotional and self-esteem needs surrounding these consequences with their PJD counselor.<\/p>\n<p>It is the program\u2019s hope that having our teens be a part of this intensive collaboration will encourage them to make better choices in the
