MHCP Welcomes New Executive Director Christopher Alcazar
The Mental Health Center of Passaic (MHCP) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Christopher Alcazar, LCSW as our new Executive Director. Christopher Alcazar joins MHCP with a distinguished career in leadership roles across various non-profit behavioral health organizations. He formerly served as the Chief Operating Officer at Community Access Inc. in New York City, and Chief Program Officer at the Bleuler Psychotherapy Center. He earned a Master of Social Work degree from the Hunter College School of Work.
Christopher’s expertise in operational efficiency, qualitative program services, robust financial management, and leveraging of external relationships will be instrumental in guiding MHCP into the next 50 years. His vision aligns perfectly with MHCP’s mission to provide exceptional mental health services and build a healthier, more resilient community.
MHCP Welcomes New Board Member Darryl Jacobs
The Mental Health Center of Passaic (MHCP) is excited to announce the addition of Darryl Jacobs, a Paterson native and college basketball analyst for ESPN & CBS Sports to our Board of Directors. Darryl is a nationally recognized sports analyst who also serves on the Board of Directors for USA Fencing, World Sports Alumni, and the DEI Board of Commission of USA Weightlifting. With over 20 years of experience in collegiate athletics as an Athletic Administrator and Head Men’s Basketball Coach, Darryl has earned several Coach of the Year honors and led his programs to conference and NCAA tournament appearances. He holds a BA in Business Administration from William Penn University and an MS in Sports Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Darryl’s extensive experience and deep connections within the community will be invaluable to MHCP.
