MHCP is excited to announce the soon to be opening of our new counseling building at 108-114 Hoover Avenue in Passaic, New Jersey. The need for mental health services has increased over the years and with the COVID-19 pandemic, anxiety and stress levels have reached new heights. MHCP has over 50 years’ experience with individual, family, and children’s counseling which has been a cornerstone for Passaic County families. Along with this experience has come continued growth.

Purchasing 108-114 Hoover Avenue has been over twenty years in the making. Located directly across the street from our location in the City of Passaic the purchase made sense. When, in 2016, the Hoover Avenue building became available for purchase, MHCP jumped at the chance to buy the building and make it its own. Extensive renovations inside and out, including handicapped accessibility, were completed to create a professional, nurturing space for our consumers and staff. The facility will be able to serve additional children and families from our Passaic County communities.

The generosity of Nicholas Martini Foundation, the Estate of Ida S. Gurtman and grants from Kearny Bank, The Turrell Foundation, and the Community Development Block Grant of the City of Passaic, is making MHCP’s wish a reality. Continued development and expansion of mental health and behavioral health services are MHCP’s mission.
